Objectives

By the implementation of the "Professional well-being" project, the goals we wanted to achieve were: a) Professional development of teachers in three levels: cognitive, behavioral and managerial. Specifically, the acquisition of knowledge in the fields of positive psychology, mental health and burn out prevention. The development of communication, language, intercultural, digital and managerial skills. The change of dysfunctional attitudes and behaviors. b) The acquisition of european experience for our newcomers organizations in order to strengthen their European identity. c) The networking and potential partnerships at european level. d) The mutual learning among peers, the learning activities and synergies through the exchange of good practices and ideas. e) The adoption of good practices, the introduction of innovative educational programs and collaborative learning models, in order to transform gradually our school into a learning community. f) New attitudes and behaviors, especially regarding the reduction of the environmental footprint. g) The facilitation of the participation of teachers who belong to vulnerable groups (health and mobility problems).

Activities

The six main activities of the application were implemented. Three of them were training activities and were held the 1st in Budapest, the 2nd in Milan and the 3rd in Kalamaria.During them our training needs were met, good practices were exchanged and innovative educational methods were shared. The other three were administrative in order to ensure the quality management of the project. The 1st kick off meeting and the 3rd the final one were carried out by physical presence. The 2nd was done online. Also, after each mobility, disssemination activities and multiplier events were implemented in each organization. In addition, via Schooleducationgateaway, we hosted 2 colleagues for job shadowing. Our opening up to the european school community and building contacts and partnerships at european level was the new reality! Further educational activities were implemented by 2 colleagues, via https://www.coursera.org/ Last but not least, in the context of a research program of Pedagogical Faculty of Aristotle University, a member of our pedagogical team was trained in an innovative educational program for the production of digital narratives to strengthen the love of reading, the cooperation and the mental empowerment of our students.

Impact

The results of this project are: a) the fulfillment, to a large extent, of our educational needs in the areas of positive psychology, mental health, the prevention of burnout and stress management, b) the familiarisation and the acquaintance with innovative teaching practices, methods and ideas, c) the implementation of innovative educational programs in the classrooms of our schools, as well as mental empowerment activities for our students, d) the strengthening of collaborative practices between the teachers of the organization, e) the building of relationships with other European organizations for future cooperation or partnership, f) the networking, the synergy and the interaction with European colleagues, g) the acquisition of digital, management and organizational skills at transnational level, h) our motivation to apply and the successful outcome of the KA122 submitted application, i) the change of attitudes and behaviors and the adopting of good practices in consumption habits and lifestyle, such as reducing prints in the organization by 14%.
