We wanted to achieve Enviromental Education, ensuring that students were able to think and act more critically regarding their daily activities and the impact each of them has on the environment. We wanted to integrate the value of recycling, reuse, and reduction of raw material consumption such as water and the consumption of other inputs such as electricity, paper, food packaging, oil, etc. into the daily life of the school. We wanted each school to teach how to grow their own vegetables, reproduce them, and take care of them through a garden and nature corners. We also wanted to raise awareness about the environmental problems our planet faces and educate students with the aim of addressing the 21st century Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, by participating in the project, we wanted students and teachers to enrich themselves culturally and educationally through mobilities to three other countries. Finally, we wanted to share and disseminate our practices and learnings to the entire educational community and the general public with the help of European platforms and social networks.

In our project, we have developed activities on climate change, carbon footprint, renewable resources and energies, promotion of recycling, and reduction of resource consumption: oil, packaging, organic matter, paper, water, electricity, and plastics. We have created school gardens or nature corners to cultivate and reproduce plants. We have held debates on pollution and health. We have observed, explored, and compared our natural environment and that of our peers in the different countries visited. We have learned about waste management. We have integrated environmental lessons into our curriculum in all subjects and levels. We have carried out international mobilities where cultural and educational exchanges have taken place with three other countries participating in the project, enriching the experience for both students and teachers. Dissemination of results and practices: European platforms and social networks have been used to share and publicize the practices and lessons learned in the project with the educational community and the general public.

As a result of our project, we have raised awareness among our students and those closest to us about the impact of each action on planet Earth. Our students have learned to recycle the waste they generate in their daily lives, not only at school but also in their family environments and communities. Furthermore, our students have developed an ecological and environmental consciousness. They now have the know-how to cultivate plants and vegetables. In each school, a garden or space has been created for plant reproduction. Posters have been created indicating the importance of saving water, turning off lights, and reducing paper consumption. All our schools have developed a sustainable plan for bringing food and water to school. Students have learned to use reusable containers for their breakfasts and also for the water they consume each day. This helps reduce the use of plastic packaging. Moreover, by promoting active travel on foot or by bicycle, more families are arriving at school in a more sustainable manner.
