▶Objectives
Life is a melting-pot of cultures. However, quite often, society seems to forget about all these, thus producing negative side-effects that stop our society from advancing from an ethical perspective. Our project has aimed at developing and promoting change among the new generations. Our society needs to change the parameters established until now and make inclusion and diversity the key points in all areas, as well as boosting environmental sustainability through good practices.
▶Activities
Two workshops on inclusion and diversity and environmental sustainability from the point of view of Bioethics helped our students understand the main issues of our project. Students also found out the human factor behind climate change and were asked to draw a list of the necessary reforms to be adopted by governments and they submitted it in person to the relevant EU bodies in Brussels. Also two workshops on endangered species, a recycling activity and the construction of a garden.
▶Impact
The final product was a digital book, which was fed with students' research and results drawn from their teamwork. Different posters and brochures were designed as a way of summing up the different issues dealt with. Students also designed their Erasmus+ project website where they uploaded all the activities done. With this project we aimed at seizing inclusion and diversity to boost human values, raise students' awareness of environmental problems and foment sustainability as well as promoting critical thinking and social action. Likewise, students improved both their ICT and English skills.
