E.M.A. : Excellent Mentoring for Artists
▶Summary
The economical governance patterns of cultural & creative initiatives have been evolving deeply for 20 years. Our mentoring shall adapt and enhance its skills in order to pursue opportunities and meet challenges of these new globalized functioning. Our challenge was to update our mentoring methodologies, master the cultural and creative industries operation at a globalized level, lead suitable answers to societal faces in our projects and reinforce the governances of the initiatives we support. EMA Project met the reinforcement needs of: - Cultural and creative industries knowledge at the European and worldwide level - Partners mentoring methods & tools harmonization - Innovative tools & methods availability - Information to creative and cultural entrepreneurs about Erasmus+ program opportunities - Underground and minorized cultures’ visibility - Ecosystems’ synergy (public partners, at the local and international level)
▶Objectives
The general objective of the project was to foster the access of creative & cultural entrepreneurs to an international network of excellent mentoring via three specific objectives: - Developing an excellent mentoring for Cultural & Creative Entrepreneurs by: * Enhancing our mentors’ excellence in adult non-formal education * Developing a mentoring proposition adapted the globalized CCI realities * Spreading good and innovative practices in our territories and for our beneficiaries - Stimulate the C&C entrepreneurs’ participation to the opportunities proposed by Erasmus+ program thanks to: * A larger C&C entrepreneurs’ participation to the Erasmus+ program opportunities * A European identity strengthening in our beneficiaries’, thanks to their participation to initiatives supported by Erasmus+ program - Create an international mentoring network for the creative and cultural entrepreneurs by: * Formalizing an international network to C&C initiatives’ support * Developing the local C&C entrepreneurs’ exportation * Strengthening the support from local institutions to our organizations
▶Activities
For our specific objective 1, to support the skills’ strengthening and educational tooling of our mentors, we: - Created new joint and harmonized mentoring resources (OERs) - Strengthened our knowledge on Cultural & Creative Industries functioning, at the global level, during virtual mobilities - Strengthened our knowledge on our partners’ tools and methodologies For our specific objective 2, to develop the Erasmus+ program audience to our beneficiaries, we: - Organized information sessions for Cultural & Creative entrepreneurs about Erasmus+ program opportunities - Supported the initiatives export of our beneficiaries, including people with less opportunities and from minorized cultures in the framework of Erasmus+ program For our specific objective 3, to equip the project partners with an international scope, we: - Organized a symposium to prefigure an international network of mentors - Developed & structured our international network to support Cultural & Creative initiatives
▶Impact
By Work-package, the project results are: WP2 –Mentors’ capacity building – Develop an excellent mentoring for C&C entrepreneurs – Virtual mobilities - Better knowledge of the CCCI in a globalized world - Knowledge strengthening on our partners’ tools & methodologies - Innovative educational resources production - Mentors skills’ upgrading WP3 – Information to beneficiaries – Stimulate the C&C entrepreneurs’ participation to Erasmus+ program opportunities – Hybrid information sessions - Better knowledge of Erasmus+ program by the C&C entrepreneurs - Cultural & Creative initiatives export of our beneficiaries WP4 – International network prefiguration – Create an excellent mentoring network for C&C entrepreneurs – Symposium in Biarritz - France - New international cooperations - Intersectorial & transnational network creation - Access to an international network of mentors for the C&C entrepreneurs Thanks to concrete activities, the project led to concrete results along the project as well as more induced ones. These results have successfully met the project objectives and tend to deepen in the following 27 months with the REACH project started in January and gathering the newly created international network of mentors
