Rural Youth Mobility Opportunities
▶Summary
By applying for this project we aimed to address numerous concerns regarding youth population, particularly those residing in rural or suburban areas. Overall, young people in rural regions across all countries encounter unemployment and exhibit limited involvement in local voluntary activities. Those who are geographically isolated lack access to information about mobility programs and remain unaware of European priorities and available resources to enhance their skills throughout Europe. Many young individuals in these areas grapple with feelings of depression, dissatisfaction, and frustration stemming from a lack of integration into the labor market and social life. The project aims to bridge the gap between organizations and citizens by empowering them to access information and explore alternative life paths, both in their personal lives and through mobility projects. This objective will be realized through self-entrepreneurship training, enabling young people to assume roles as peer mentors or European ambassadors. This approach will incentivize their involvement as volunteers and inspire them to excel locally and on a European scale.
▶Objectives
The primary objectives of the project are focused on youth empowerment: - Empower individuals with fewer opportunities to engage in a qualitative preparation and mobility project, maximizing their capacities and supporting them in enhancing their skills across various aspects, thereby improving their chances of accessing employment and combating social isolation and inactivity. This will ultimately enhance the employability and social integration of individuals with fewer opportunities. - Develop soft skills and self-confidence among youth, broaden their horizons, and foster a deeper understanding of different cultures. - Provide information to youth about programs and resources available for mobility opportunities throughout Europe. - Enhance the competencies and skills of young individuals, involving them in roles such as peer mentoring and Ambassador for Europe. - Strengthen social skills and engage more young people in the social fabric of their regions. Regarding the objectives pertaining to professionals: Facilitate their engagement with new audiences and enhance their coaching methodologies. Establish a networking platform to facilitate exchanges, enabling professionals to become more actively engaged at the European level
