Objectives The project has two objectives: - to build up the capacities of our two organizations to understand and address the environmental crisis caused by human behavior, specifically by traditional travel practices, and - to empower young people to take action by asking relevant questions, building a healthier and more sustainable relationship with the environment, and acting as a factor of change by encouraging other members of their generation to engage in more environmentally friendly practices. Activities We are planning to implement 5 main activities: - training-for-trainers and exchange of expertise on environmental protection, sustainable tourism and youth activism, - summer retreat for young people on environmental protection, sustainable tourism and youth activism, - production of Sustainable Travel Video Guide for Young Travelers, - multiplier events for secondary school-age pupils, - transnational project meetings for the members of the project team Impact We aim to achieve the following results: • build our trainers' and young participants' understanding and knowledge on environmental protection and sustainable travel and tourism, and • encourage and stimulate young people included in the project to participate in democratic processes and to trigger change in the thinking and behavior of their peers on national and EU level.
