The project A bag of... Earth primarily aimed to foster primary school children's interest in science and to develop a scientific approach to environmental issues. The concrete objective of the project was to support school children in improving STEM competencies in order to deal with environmental issues in their everyday life with peers and families and in connecting scientific knowledge to other school disciplines in a holistic approach to education. In addition, "A bag of ... Earth" intended to promote reflection and discussion about gender stereotypes in science and in STEM education and career, through the presentation of positive models of female scientists.
