Objectives

With the activation and promotion of the project, it was intended to promote interest in and encourage the active study of STEM disciplines. All the constituent activities of the project were defined in such a way as to enable the acquisition of scientific and digital knowledge, skills and competencies, as well as the acquisition of the scientific method, combining in an innovative and original way the history of science, storytelling and the focus on gender equality in science. Another not insignificant goal was to create resources that could support teachers in the renewal of teaching practices, complementing traditional methodologies with laboratory activities that included the use of technology, coding and educational robotics in order to foster the development of computational thinking. The main objectives of the project, therefore, aimed to create educational activities and resources tailored to the challenges posed by digital, scientific and cultural transformation, and also capable of addressing the need to promote social, intercultural and critical thinking skills through knowledge and practice of the scientific method.
