Eco-educational garden for youth entrepreneurship skills

Objectives The aim of the project is to create experiential learning opportunities for rural/urban youth to cultivate self–reliance, job skills, and entrepreneurial aptitude by cultivating an eco-garden. Eco-gardens built together with youth and local community members provide health, economic, educational, social, and environmental benefits to participants and the community at large. It generates a social gathering place for the community and encourages people to share intergenerational knowledge. Activities Development of innovative digital practical guide book on eco-gardening for youth Creating workshops for youth to improve/ develop soft skills such as time management, group building, and teamwork, knowledge of designing business plans in eco-gardening. Piloting and updating created workshops for youth Translation and edition of the created material and transforming them into attractive output Training for youth in Turkey on basic horticulture techniques, botany, nutrition. Impact - developed one innovative digital practical guidebook on eco-gardening for youth. - created and piloted practical workshops for improving youth competencies: knowledge of main ecological elements, improved soft skills such as time management, group building, and teamwork; knowledge of designing business plans in eco-gardening - organized international training on basic horticulture techniques, botany, nutrition, and sustainable land stewardship through experiential activities.
