▶Summary
The project "Developing Learning Experiences: Creative Centers Without Borders" was developed to correspond the needs of adult learnerns and partner organisations involved in the project - Gulbene Municipality Museum of History and Art and Creative Assoication "The 5th House" (Latvia), Räpina Creativity House (Estonia) and Kaş State Public Education Center (Turkey). The 21st century`s education requires continuous development of the competencies of educators and new methods to be introduced for the target audience - adult learners. International learning experience gives extra benefits by fostering the networking of teaching stuff, sharing good practice and methods of the organisations, raising the language and communication skills, and building the capacity of organisations itself.
▶Objectives
The aim of the project was to create an international (Latvia, Estonia and Turkey) cooperation platform of 4 organisations for supplementing the knowledge and skills of adult educators in the field of design, applied arts and crafts, as well as to improve the organization of the adult education process and modernization, promoting its accessibility, digitalization and diversification of methods. The objectives of the project was to expand competences of adult educators of partner organisations, as well as to broaden the educational offer for adult learners in the field of creativity, arts, design, crafts, and applied art.
▶Activities
The objectives of the project was achieved by implementing such activities: * Within 3 learning mobilities in Latvia (Gulbene), Estonia (Räpina) and Turkey (Kaş) adult educators shared their skills and knowledge and acqaired new approaches and methods to enrich the educational offer for adult learners in the field of creativity, design, innovative art techniques, applied art and traditional crafts. During the mobilities good practice exchange was ensured on the organization and system of the adult education. * Within 7 follow-up events adult educators shared the methods acquaired with the local community - adult learners - the target audience of the participating organisations. * Active work took place to widen the learning offer for adult learners by establishing learning programs and providing regular learning activities in local communities.
▶Impact
* Within 3 learning mobilities in total 27 educators gained theoretical and practical knowledge, learned new methods and practices in the field of creativity, design, innovative art techniques, applied art and traditional crafts. * Ensured 4 coordinators meetings - 2 online (in total - 8 participants) and 2 - meeting in person in Latvia and Estonia (in total 10 participants). * Developed 3 adult learning programs and established their implementations. * Developed virtual exhibition that promotes the project activities and learning results of the mobilities. * Within 7 follow-up events 86 adult learners gained skills and knowledge in new methods acquired during the learning mobilities. * Based on the good cooperational experience, activities resulting from the project have been carried, such as art exhibition and extra learning event organized in Estonia, Räpina, as well as submitted Erasmus+ mobility project between Gulbene and Kaş.
