Within the framework of this project we wanted to achieve: • Exchange information on professional foreign language teaching issues between interested parties; • Contribute to the reorientation of language teaching in partner organizations, including language skills in the context of professional content; • Offer professionally oriented language training modules for adult learners to support career changes and participation in lifelong learning, and increase competitiveness in the labour market; • To offer professionally oriented language training for adult learners to support career changes, participation in lifelong learning; • Develop specialized language training modules for vocational education and training teachers and professionals in the labour market.

Activities implemented within the project: 1) Study of the situation of professional English language teaching and learning. In order to prepare for the next activity, a study of the situation of professional English teaching and learning was conducted, which included a survey of vocational education and English teachers, students of vocational schools, employers and employees in various professions about the importance and necessity of English language knowledge for professional activities, as well as the desire improve these competences and also the desired teaching methods; 2) Creation of professional English modules. Based on the results of the study of the professional English language teaching and learning situation, the project partners have developed the following professional English learning modules: 'English for beginners', 'Information Technologies', 'Land Surveying', 'Engineering Sciences', 'Catering', 'Transport and logistics' and 'Welding'; 3) Testing of professional English language modules. After the development of the professional English language modules, the testing phase began, where 72 persons improved their professional English skills during 72 lessons; 4) Project administration and publicity.

Results achieved within the framework of the project: 1) Cooperation in the field of professional English language training established and implemented between two vocational training institutions in the Latvia-Lithuania cross-border region; 2) Updated the importance of professional English language skills in preparing a competitive workforce; 3) Implemented cooperation between the vocational education sector and the labour market for the creation of new learning materials and bringing the content closer to the working environment: https://ej.uz/Erasmus_Study; 4) Created 7 professional English language modules (in printed and interactive e-learning format): https://ej.uz/Erasmus_Modules, https://ej.uz/For_beginners, https://ej.uz/Information_Technologies, https://ej.uz/LAND_SURVEYING, https://ej.uz/ENGINEERING_SCIENCES, https://ej.uz/CATERING, https://ej.uz/WELDING, https://ej.uz/TRANSPORT_AND_LOGISTICS; 5) Improved professional English language skills for at least 72 vocational education teachers and representatives of various professions; 6) Promoted the involvement of the main related target groups in professional training and retraining.
