We wanted to experience whether, and show that, it is also valuable and possible for students with an intellectual disability to gain experience abroad and show that students can also have an input in this. We wanted to be an example for others and share our experiences with other schools for students with disabilities. In addition, we wanted to strengthen the relationship with our partner school so that we would be able to continue working together after this project. To this end, we have formulated the goals below. 1. Building a mutual relationship between the partners for long-term cooperation in the future. 2. Experience what is involved in an international partnership with student mobility and share these experiences with others. 3. Designing an example project for and by students. 4. Creating a script with a checklist, a step-by-step plan and an example project to be shared with other schools in and outside the organizations. 5. Testing student mobility in practice with students and supplementing and/or adapting the script based on the experiences.
