▶Summary
The project was an integral coherent whole of activities resulting from the individual needs of each of the Partners. The project was designed to increase knowledge and shape attitudes in the field of ecology and sustainable development among adults. The organizations participating in the project defined the MAIN PROBLEM, which was the lack of an attractive offer in the field of informal education addressed to adults in the area of shaping pro-ecological attitudes and increasing theoretical knowledge and practical in the subject of sustainable development and climate change. The project also allowed for the creation of an innovative educational course, which is addressed to niche target groups in the digitization formula. This increased the educational offer of the entities. finally thanks Thanks to the project, the staff gained experience and acquired new knowledge, which allows them to perform their tasks better in the future. The exchange of practices and the strengthening of ties/relations, which will result in further projects, were also important.
▶Objectives
The project was implemented by the Edukacja Zdrowie Rozwoju Foundation from Sucha Beskidzka (Poland) in partnership with the European Ecocycle Society (Hungary) in the period from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 in Poland and Hungary. The main objective of the project was to improve the quality of educational activities, including changing the way classes are conducted by developing a proprietary course (together forming one coherent international course) based on digital solutions aimed at building knowledge, skills and attitudes among adults in the area of the Climate Change Partnership and sustainable development. The intermediate goal was to strengthen the Partnership's potential by improving the competences of employees and associates participating in the project and obtaining in-depth information about the state of knowledge and awareness of the inhabitants in the field of climate change, ecology and sustainable development. The assumption of the project was based on an in-depth analysis of the knowledge and awareness of the inhabitants of the Partnership territory, an analysis of the education offer and systemic solutions supporting ecology with elements of sustainable development and climate issues.
▶Activities
As part of the project, all activities planned in the application form were carried out: 1. A Model Sustainable Development Course was developed using digital tools aimed at building knowledge, skills and attitudes among adults in the area of the Partnership on Climate Change and Sustainable Development. The developed educational offer was prepared in an electronic version and posted on the public website Moodle educational platform at: www.efsd.online, www.en.efsd.online, www.hu.efsd.online . The platform is available in 3 languages: Polish, Hungarian and English. 2. Two project meetings were held: in Poland in September 2022 and in Hungary in January 2023. 3. Two dissemination events were held: in Poland - in March 2023, a conference for 85 people, and in Hungary - in March 2023, a conference for 45 people. 4. Project management and implementation (on-going monitoring and management of activities in accordance with the project assumptions).
▶Impact
As part of the project, the following were developed: 1) A model Sustainable Development course using digital tools aimed at building knowledge, skills and attitudes among adults in the area of the Partnership on Climate Change and Sustainable Development. Poland: Module I is an introduction to the topic of renewable energy in Poland, which is also a guide to saving energy. Module II focuses fully on the economic dimension and attempts to answer the question: is sustainable development an expensive investment and can everyone afford to live in an eco-friendly spirit? Hungary: Topic of the course: Waste management for all - saving the environment, money and health. Capacity building course for Hungarian society. Module I is an introduction to the definition of waste and its classification. Module II focuses on waste management. How to behave and save money, health and the environment. 2) 2 international meetings were held. 3) Dissemination meetings in Poland and Hungary, the aim of which was to disseminate the results developed under the project.
