Summary

The organization applied for the project because it was necessary to improve activities in the field of senior education. It was necessary to exchange good practices on the project topic including intergenerational learning. The organization implemented the project successfully. The project responded to the needs of organizations and target groups. Partner organizations showed great interest in intergenerational educational practices (Intergenerational arts practice, Inclusive Intergeneration group dance). The project addressed the needs of participating organizations such as: promoting equal opportunities, new learning models and strategies, and intergenerational solidarity. The partner organizations demonstrated a departure from traditional models of adult education and a focus on intergenerational education without introducing differentiation based on age.

Objectives

The main goal of the project was to exchange good practices on promoting inclusion through intergenerational education activities. The project supported learning seniors in accessing useful educational content. The project topic was important from the point of view of the goals and priorities of the Action - AE. The project goals were realistic and addressed the needs and intentions of the participating organizations and the needs of the target groups. Achieved: Goal 1. Increasing educational diversity and using an integration form, in particular intergenerational group dancing. Goal 2 - Equipping adult education staff with the competences needed to include people with fewer opportunities. Goal 3 - Inclusion intergenerational dimension in the educational context in the countries involved in the project. The goals were directly linked to the selected priorities. Goal 1 related to the selected Horizontal priority - Inclusion and diversity. Objective 2 was correlated with the Adult Education priority - Increasing the competences of educators and other staff involved in adult education. Objective 3 was linked to the Horizontal priority - Promoting the Erasmus+ program among all citizens and generations.​

Activities

The following activities were carried out in the project: - Project management and implementation, coordination and cooperation. - Kick off meeting - 1st International Design Meeting in Bytom (Poland), - Local events organized in each partner organization: Learning Cafe - Workshops for seniors, - 2nd International Design Meeting in Budapest (Hungary), - Round Table - Educational event for educators - carried out in every country: Poland, Spain, Ireland, Turkey, Hungary. - 3rd International Design Meeting in Dublin (Ireland), - Events for seniors - "Learning for Live" workshops: carried out in each partner organization. - Training course for 20 employees of partner organizations from five countries. The training was carried out at FonoFest Cultural Associacion in Budapest, Hungary. - 4th International Design Meeting - online, hosted by the partner organization Hegmed Kirikkale (Turkey), - 5th International Design Meeting at Open Europe, Reus in Spain. - Conferences disseminating the project results. The activities were carried out in each partner organization.

Impact

The project achieved specific results: Result I: Reports illustrating the inclusive role of intergenerational group dance in partner countries: in Ireland - Irish dance, in Hungary - Hungarian group dances, in Spain - Sardana dance, in Turkey - dances from the Antalia region, in Poland - dances from the Silesia region. Result II: Atlas of good practices - "Inclusive Integeneration dance group" - a practical tool that serves in the work of adult educators. Result III: A DVD film prepared in partnership. The film presents examples of good practices in the field of - Intergeneration dance (ID). Intangible results achieved: Result IV - Increased competences of adult education staff in the area of conducting training in the field of ID. Result V: Increased awareness of the importance of the value of intergenerational dance in non-professional adult education. Result VI: Creation of a cooperation network by raising awareness of the importance of group dance classes and their impact on the social, physical and mental level of seniors.
