▶Summary
We applied for the implementation of the project because we noticed a deficit of digital competences among the residents and participants of our University of Generations in our local environment. Following the example of our Spanish partner, we wanted to create a Digital Competence Laboratory, which would be an opportunity for digitally excluded people, and through training would help them improve their quality of life. We wanted people participating in the project, despite their mature age, to find a chance to reap huge benefits from digital solutions. Both in the private and personal sphere.
▶Objectives
By implementing this project, we wanted to create a partnership for digital education of adults and build a Digital Competence Laboratory in Poland, where we will organize training and workshops for 10 digitally excluded adults. These people were recruited from among the students of the University of Generations, operating at the International Institute of Science, Culture and Business.
▶Activities
The following activities were carried out in the project: 1st International project meeting. 2. Purchase of equipment to equip the Digital Competences Laboratory. 3. Organizational meeting with project participants. 4. Training and workshops in Poland. 5. Training of participants in Malaga. 6. Travel and accommodation of participants in the activity Training of participants in Malaga. 7. Project management and implementation. 8. Internet marketing of the project.
▶Impact
1. A long-term partnership for digital adult education has been established. 2. 10 adults from the University of Generations were trained in the area of digital technologies. 3. Trainings were conducted in Poland and Spain (at the partner's). 4. Knowledge and experience were exchanged with a partner in the field of digital education. 5. A Digital Competence Laboratory was established at the International Institute of Science, Culture and Business. 6. The quality of life of people participating in the project has improved. 7. The project's website was created. 8. After the implementation of the project, the Digital Competences Laboratory organizes regular classes for people who are digitally excluded.
