Edukacja ekologiczna przeciwko wykluczeniu społecznemu
▶Summary
We applied for the project because we wanted to open the foundation to activities in a broader, European dimension in the field of ecological education. We really wanted the organizations to gain ecological knowledge through the exchange of practices and experiences and be inspired to become more socially active in the field of ecological activities in their small homelands. The idea of the project was also born from the need to stimulate socially excluded people to take action, leave home, and engage in social activities using the beautiful resources of local nature. While working with socially excluded people, we noticed low ecological awareness, non-compliance with waste segregation rules, disregard for water saving and air pollution due to lack of knowledge and willingness to become familiar with the topic of ecology and sustainable material management. By implementing the project, we wanted to develop the level of civic awareness, involvement and activity in the field of ecology. Moreover, we really wanted to get to know the culture and customs of another country. We also wanted our employees and volunteers to improve their skills and introduce new methods and forms of work, in addition to personal development.
▶Objectives
The main goal of the project was to develop competences and exchange experience of Partners' staff in the field of public education on the following topics: sustainable development, ecology and social exclusion.
