I am OK, You are OK

By running this project we wanted to influence tackling the problem of bullying and cyberbullying in the school environment. Our experiences in working with parents enabled us to find out the need to foster children by strengthening their emotional and social skills. The soft skills can minimize bullying and, consequently, the risk of social exclusion. Data analysis of effective anti-bullying programs show that it is important to create a program to support the classroom environment in developing social coexistence, prevention of the formation of excluded groups and the safety of people not inscribed in traditional norms. Engaging teachers and parents to the issues of peer help seems to be important in supporting the problem solving. Our motivation to run the project is also the widespread ignorance of adults about the difference between a conflict and psychological or relational violence.

The goals of the project are: 1. Disseminating the idea of preventing peer violence with promoting the well-being and mental health of students in order to counteract social and educational exclusion of children, and in consequence of social and professional exclusion in adulthood, 2. Raising the awareness of school employees and parents about the processes of preventing bullying and cyberbullying in schools, 3. Reducing the exclusion of people with fewer opportunities in schools (these people are most exposed to bullying).

1. Development of the workshop program of emotional intelligence and soft skills empowerment for perpetrators, victims and observers of bullying and cyberbullying in schools 2. Developing a workshop program for parents 3. Development of a workshop program for teachers and school staff For each of the programs, an additional Powerpoint presentation was prepared, useful for conducting workshops. 4. Dissemination activities The above activities consisted of: - exchange of knowledge and experience of partners in the field of counteracting bullying and cyberbullying during meetings both in Italy and in Poland, - exchange of knowledge and experience during remote work of experts on preliminary workshop programes - conducting test workshops for children, teachers and parents in schools in Poland and Italy, - development by experts the final versions of workshop programs, taking into account the conclusions of the test workshops, - creating a website containing information about the project activities and results to be uploaded, - organizing a conference in Tarnów - dissemination the topics and results of the project among teachers, - organizing an event summarizing the project in the Italian testing school

- creating a Polish-Italian team of experts - program of workshops for children with a presentation - program of workshops for teachers along with a presentation - program of workshops for parents with a presentation - OK.book as a brochure for teachers and parents - bullying in a nutshell - conducting test workshops for children, teachers, parents in a Polish and Italian school, 24 hours in total in each, - increase in knowledge about bullying prevention among 24 children in Poland, 20 children in Italy, 11 parents in Poland, 10 parents in IT, 13 teachers in Poland, 10 teachers in IT, - creating a website dedicated to the project with programs, presentations and OK.book (all in 3 languages) - conducting a conference to disseminate the results of the project among teachers and parents (27 teachers, 3 parents) - sending information about the conference, and thus the project, by the Pedagogical Library in Tarnów to the directors of primary schools in the City of Tarnów and the Tarnów county, as well as to the management of the Education Department of the Tarnów City Hall (154 schools) - organizing an event summarizing the project in the Italian testing school (about 30 participants)
