Summary

First of all, we wanted to respond to the educational needs of students from our Center who require a specialized approach and support in the learning process. Our goal was to create an integrated educational environment that combines various fields of knowledge, which promotes better understanding and learning of the material by students with various needs. The project responded to several key needs, including: Increasing student motivation – An interdisciplinary approach allows for more engaging and interesting lessons, which can increase motivation to learn and participate in classes. Development of social and communication skills – Working on interdisciplinary projects in groups promotes the development of social competences such as cooperation and communication. Better preparation for adult life – Students learn how to combine knowledge from various fields, which is crucial in everyday life and future work. Cooperation between teachers of various subjects, which was to lead to a more coherent and holistic approach to students' education. Activation of teachers through the implementation of an international project and, consequently, of students.

Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted, first of all, to improve the quality of the teaching and educational process at the facility. Moreover, we wanted: -Develop the ability of teachers to cooperate on an international project and within the institution, which will contribute to better coordination of educational activities. -Instruct teachers to search for optimal teaching methods so that they are open to modern and effective teaching methods. -Provide students with effective teaching methods that will help them function better in adult life. -Prove to students that working for others and on themselves brings measurable benefits, which is to motivate them to further activity and commitment. -Encourage students to take up challenges and activities so that they are more open to new experiences and personal development. -Raise the self-esteem of students and teachers, which will have a positive impact on their self-confidence and motivation. -Develop basic and soft skills in students, such as teamwork, responsibility, planning and perseverance, which are crucial for functioning in adult life. - Gain recognition in the local community as an institution that properly prepares young people to function in the real world.

Activities

1. 5-day interdisciplinary workshops for 10 SOSW teachers in Greece carried out together with Greek teachers a) Before: recruitment of participants, promotional activities, introductory meeting, development of evaluation tools, logistic preparation, detailed workshop schedule, organizational meeting. b) During: implementation of 5-day workshops with Polish and Greek teachers, preparation of participation certificates, summary meeting, setting a schedule for further activities. c) after: evaluation 2. Joint implementation of interdisciplinary exercises and experiments by Polish and Greek students and teachers a) Before: recruitment of participants, introductory meeting, psych-ped-socio workshops. preparing for the trip, organizational meeting, setting a schedule of activities, selecting lesson scenarios b) During: implementation of exercises and experiments, preparation of participation certificates, summary meeting, setting the circle schedule c)after: evaluation 3. Evaluation and promotion meeting of partners' representatives at the applicant's headquarters a) Before: logistical preparation b) during: implementation of evaluation meetings, conference and Erasmus day c)after: final evaluation

Impact

The project, based on the principles of interdisciplinary teaching and innovative pedagogical methods, aimed to transform the educational environment in both schools by focusing on the development of both primary and secondary school students. Detailed effects and results of this project: -Increase in students' awareness of the advantages of interdisciplinary teaching, -Improving teaching methods, -Increased cooperation skills contributed to better integration of the school environment and the development of teamwork skills -Developing detailed lesson plans taking into account content from various subjects, -Establishing cooperation with foreign partners enabled the exchange of experiences and joint work on educational projects. This opened up new perspectives and development opportunities for students and juniors, -increase in students' motivation to take up new challenges and look for solutions. -Improving participants' language skills, -Improvement of soft skills of both students and teachers, such as the ability to cooperate in a group, flexibility, perseverance and resistance to stress, -the institutions are perceived in the local environment as institutions that care about the comprehensive development of students.
