▶Objectives
The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of vocational education in the tourism industry (hospitality, catering) conducted by the Partners and the entities cooperating with them through the development of two main results of the project: 1. a report including a research study on the needs of employers in the tourism industry from different countries regarding current skills and professional gaps in the labor market 2. a handbook covering remote forms and tools of vocational support provided by institutions outside the local market. The developed documents allowed to apply recommendations to increase the quality of vocational training services provided. In addition, they contribute to raising the qualifications of staff and teachers and trainers of partner institutions and increase the quality of work and attractiveness of vocational training offer of partner institutions.
▶Activities
The project implemented activities: - 3 study visits (Poland, Italy, Greece) showing post-pandemic practices of the tourism industry and presenting remote methods and tools of vocational training at each Partner - Conducting research on the needs of tourism industry employers from different countries regarding competency and professional gaps in the labor market; collecting the results in the form of a report, - developing a manual including remote forms and tools of vocational support, testing the tools in the form of workshops by a project team of 10 people (teachers, trainers, methodologists and people responsible for organizing vocational support, such as project managers) and vocational school students. - Dissemination activities: knowledge sharing meetings by the project team at their institutions, distribution of online materials to employers with whom Partners cooperate; results consultation process through mailings, social media; posting of produced documents on Erasmus+ results platforms and Partners' websites
▶Impact
In addition to the main results developed, the project has contributed to the achievement of long-term outcomes: - dissemination of changes introduced by leading entrepreneurs in the hotel and catering industry from different countries among local employers and vocational training providers influencing the sharing of good practice experiences, - improving the skills of employees and teachers and trainers of partner institutions, - increasing the quality of the work of partner institutions, - Increasing the attractiveness of VET and improving quality assurance in VET through internationalization of the education process, - reaching out to teachers from schools with students at risk of exclusion - from rural areas and poor families, - Promoting shared civic values and community involvement through cooperation of various project stakeholders - teachers, students, employers, employees of public vocational schools and non-public vocational training providers, - adaptation of working methods and tools to the needs of a low-carbon economy (remote classes, reducing transportation or printouts).
