Objectives

By implementing this project, we wanted all participants from both countries to increase their knowledge and skills. We wanted the participants to operate water hoses properly, learn how to make knots and know how to evacuate themselves and evacuate others using bands and ropes. We also wanted to present to the participants how the guards operate in Poland and Germany, what the training system looks and what it covers. Through the implementation, we also wanted to show the possibility of using new techniques (VR goggles) in the training and learning process. In addition, an important issue that we cared about was training in the field of compressed foams (one seven), which are much more effective in extinguishing fires and are not very popular in our reality. Additionally, we wanted participants to save injured people from cars and trucks and to become familiar with modern methods of operation and equipment during fairs, competitions and lectures. Language issues were also important to us at the stage of writing the application and we wanted the participants to learn a foreign language, which is why we included learning songs in Polish and German. In addition, we wanted to train people in the use of mechanical ladders being parts

Activities

The project included all activities related to: - fire in buildings and vehicles and fighting them, - construction of fire extinguishing lines, moving with them and proper operation of water and foam currents, - rescuing people at risk in smoke-filled rooms using rope techniques, leaning ladders and mechanical ladders, - learning songs in Polish and German and singing them together, - proper conduct during incidents involving electric and hybrid vehicles, - using devices to determine GPS coordinates, thermal cameras and VR goggles, - procedures in case of a gas fire from a cylinder, extinguishing electric vehicles and cooling batteries, - providing assistance to injured people - modern rescue techniques and solutions, - preparing information materials and T-shirts for participants.

Impact

The effects and results of the project are: - training of 30 people in first aid, fire extinguishing tactics and technical rescue, as well as the basics of high-altitude rescue, - ability to operate rescue and fire-fighting equipment in various conditions and making participants familir with modern rescue methods and equipment solutions, - personal development of participants, a different approach to issues implemented in the guard, - new volunteers who join our activities, - correct and calmer actions during the activities of people who took part in the project.
