GeoEducation For Combatting Climate Change

Objectives GEOCOACH project is developped to combat with climate change effects on nature via geoeducation. By using geoparks as open air laboratories to work on climate change, we would like to gather youth with geoscientists. Together with the experienced geopark personnel and youth workers working on this issue, we want to demonstrate the urgency of the situation, prepare a climate change report on this issue, discuss the solution proposals, and organize trainings to learn the best practices in geoparks Activities 3 LTT activities are planned for GEOCOACH project: 1-HOLLY CROSS MOUNTAIN GEOPARK LTTA 2-IRON MOUNTAINS GEOPARK LTTA 3-NOGRAD GEOPARK LTTA During the mobilities and and project we plan *observations and records of climate change effects on Geoparks (Lakes,rivers, nature, fauna,flora...) *Trekking with volunteers/geopark staff/youth workers *Webinars/seminars after each LTT for youthworkers *Climate Change Awareness activities: collecting garbage, seminars *GEOMAPPING , Orientiring, Geocoaching Impact Geopark project will create the results *Climate Change Effects Reports on 4 European Geopark *E-booklet of 4 Geoparks *Project FB page/Youtube Channel/Website *Publucations (poster,leaflets) *Dissemination activities: Seminars,Webinars *Creating Geoeducation UNIT for each
