Background Tourism is one of the largest sectors in the world economy and currently one of the most affected sectors of the outbreak of COVID-19. Representing more than just economic strength, the tourism sector has a vast potential and increasing capacity to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including socioeconomic recovery and growth and inclusive development. The impact of COVID-19 one year after its appearance in Europe is more than visible especially on tourism and young people’s lives.
