Summary

Background The vision of the project Our vision of the project is to facilitate equal parenting to raise happier families by breaking stereotypes of mother & father roles. What if the idea of being a parent wasn't limited to one person? What would happen if we raised our children in an equal parenting environment, breaking out stereotypes and gender norms that can be detrimental to many people's lives. This is what this project aims at doing; not only through training Youth workers/ educators but also by educating youth on how they too could become parents themselves someday. With these two aspects combined with an e-portal for quick access to information and microlearning who want it or need help navigating their way around various parental issues, will enable us all to live happier family lives as well as break down barriers between each other so life so future generations won't have to deal with these issues. Target group : Youth 18+ Youth workers/Trainers It is important to us that we have chosen youth workers as our target group and the Youth 18+, because youth workers will be the bridge to the youth and can deliver the message in a more related and creative way. Young people 18+ are on the edge of either thinking to become parents, or sometimes they accidentally become one and are stuck in the situation. Either way, they have to learn that in modern times like now equality is necessary to maintain a healthy family life. Fostering equality within young existing or future families, will eliminate stereotypes about parent roles and inequality in the future, because the children will be raised with a being equal mindset. The needs of Young 18+: Encourage and prepare the youth for responsible parenthood. Increase their participation to improve the quality of the family life and make crucial decisions. Education and counselling on a topic that is not included in the formal education curriculum. It is a common phenomenon of the incorrect transmission of attitudes through the generations. Redesign family perception and foster their "Equal parenting" mindset. Many uninvolved young parents are often raised by uninvolved parents, which leads to the perpetuation of the style because they had no other role models to learn from. https://www.un.org/development/desa/dspd/wp-content/uploads/sites/22/2018/12/concept-note-family.pdf The needs of Youth workers/Trainers: Youth workers struggle to smoothly incorporate such a delicate issue into their everyday encounters with the youth. Despite that, it is an important issue that needs to be addressed more regularly. There is no training for youth workers focusing on strategies & techniques that can be implemented around equal parenting. Develop an effective generation model that will provide them with modern ideas on dealing with this topic and get inspired by the outcomes. Competencies targeting the early support of the youth have a significant impact on their mentality around The content of this page is published for information purposes only. In every society we can clearly see the roles that have been given us by our birth. Patriarchal thoughts are building in our minds by our childhood and even without notice, we found ourselves in this system. That’s why, it’s important to show the rules are not rules but the memorized wrongs. On the other hand; we need to be taught how to have empathy, how to not reflect our daily stress on children or because of this stress and lack of communication not to put all responsibility on the other person as parents. We will ensure our youth workers, leaders and young adults with the methods, tools, and guidance necessary to achieve our objective. When it comes to parenting, we need a change. We're living in an era where one parent can't raise the child on their own and children are growing up with bad role models which is causing them to lack empathy! It's only been five years since same-sex marriage was legalized nationwide, but already there have been over 100 legal cases regarding divorce or separation of gay couples filed. This is not an issue about equality between genders but rather about how each gender influences another's behavior at such formative stages that will affect them forevermore-beyond childhood into adolescence as well as adult life where these gendered roles dictate behaviors once again from what occupation people think they would enjoy best, all the way up to who
