โ–ถObjectives

The Maker ABC project has set out to: Research the maker movement across Europe and look at it through the lens of entrepreneurship, SDGs and community building. The resources we have developed with the guide support the maker movement & maker communities by defining the activities, impact, challenges and opportunities available, in line with the current environment and climate change agenda, defined in the contexts of each partner. Make an impact in entrepreneurial learning, by exposing members of makerspaces to entrepreneurs from the maker movement who successfully run a business and by exposing entrepreneurs to sustainable visions and best practices of other maker communities. The concept of a maker is still a new one and varies depending on the place and social context of each. Makers and makerspaces are an important pillar of the modern creative industry but gain access to skills in a very roundabout way: through informal learning most of the time or with the help of the community. The Maker ABC guide defines a series of general terms from 3 angles, providing varied insight, but also holds a series of links and examples of best practices, with the aim to help guide the user in the development of key competencies
