Objectives

The main objective of the project was to provide the necessary information to open a solid business in the Street Food field, to reduce unemployment among college graduates and to create the necessary networking connections to facilitate the process of opening a Street Food business. In Romania, the legal and economic information applicable to the Street Food field is completely non-existent. The future entrepreneur it is forced to document himself and search for relevant information in the vast legislation applicable to the HORECA field. Establishing business implementation and promotion strategies are the first steps that lead to the success or failure of the business. The partner's team from Denmark brought to the project all the management and marketing knowledge acquired during the studies and also during the professional activities. In order to achieve the objective, we have drawn up the Street Food Entrepreneur's Guide, where all the necessary information for a future street food entrepreneur can be found, explained in a simple and accessible language.

Activities

Project had a period of selective reasearch that formed the basis of the Guide.Meeting organizations in DK was constructive, we got to know the business developed by the partners, we met entrepreneurs from Street Food field,we discussed the legislation in DK,the manner of its application and the effects on entrepreneurs. We discused about the struggles faced by young entrepreneurs in DK.Meeting organizations in RO was constructive for the project. We discussed focused on project evolution, what needs to be done:we sketched the platform interface, we had a meeting with the graphic designer to determine how the guide will look,we determined how the Mastercass and the Bootcamp will take place. We compared the struggles faced by entrepreneurs in Romania and in DK.We created an accesible Guide based on the information provided by our experts.MasterClass was attended by 4 legal, fiscal, management and marketing experts, 6 important representatives from the Street Food industry (vendors, events organizers) and 60 participants.BootCamp was organized for 3 days,15 selected people and experts participated.Visual and communication led to the creation of the platform and the 2 social media pages.

Impact

Project results exceeded all expectations. We started with fears, because we had no experience in European projects, not even in business. We were starting a new path with the desire to implement something that would be useful to young people who want to start their own business.Among the important results obtinained in this project are: the Street Food Entrepreneur's Guide that includes structured and accesible information regarding legal, economic, management and marketing fields. It is a specially developed material so that it can be covered, understood and learned easily.MasterClass allowed the experts to explain the essential aspects in the 4 fields of interes, encouraged the 60 participants to interact with the experts and ask them relevant questions.Facilitated meeting between the most experienced StretFood professionals and participant (including unemployed, college graduates-according to selection procedure).BootCamp-training with 15 participants selected from participants at MasterClass. It was a 3day training module on StreetFood, during which participants deepened the knowledge acquired at MasterClass, Guide, developed a StreetFood business plan. The platform facilitated access to essential information and events calendar.
