Objectives

The primary objectives of implementing the CirculaWASTE project are multifaceted. The project aims to train 96 VET trainers, create a Training Manual for VET Trainers, identify and analyze targeted needs and competences in biomass energy, develop new professional skills in the field, promote the EU's RES demands, raise awareness about waste reuse in the EU, and indirectly support the improvement of rural life quality. These objectives collectively address the need for skilled trainers, standardized training materials, tailored training programs, a skilled workforce in renewable energy, alignment with EU sustainability goals, environmental awareness, and rural economic development. The project's comprehensive approach aims to contribute to sustainability and the EU's renewable energy objectives.

Activities

The implemented activities in the CirculaWASTE project encompassed a range of initiatives designed to achieve its objectives effectively. These activities included the organization of four Training of Trainers (ToTs) sessions, along with the conduct of four virtual conferences in each partner country. Through these conferences, workshops, and online meetings, the project sought to engage VET trainers specializing in biomass energy. The host institution played a central role in leading and coordinating these activities, ensuring their successful execution. Simultaneously, all partner organizations actively participated in the project, contributing their expertise and resources to its advancement. Notably, six VET trainers from each partner country were selected to participate in the activities hosted in Romania, Belgium, Spain, and Turkey. This hands-on involvement allowed these trainers to benefit directly from the project's training and knowledge-sharing efforts. In summary, the CirculaWASTE project executed a diverse set of activities, including training sessions, virtual conferences, and collaborative engagements, all geared toward empowering VET trainers in the field of biomass energy.

Impact

It executed a quality management plan, including internal evaluations, to ensure effective and standards-compliant project activities. Partner organizations actively participated, enriching the project's methodology with their expertise and resources The project employed an efficient methodology, including training modules, knowledge-sharing sessions, and capacity-building, to equip VET trainers with essential biomass energy skills. Training content was customized for each partner country while aligning with the broader European context, ensuring relevance. The project prioritized content relevance by considering the needs and expectations of VET trainers, aligning with biomass energy industry demands. In summary, CirculaWASTE achieved its goals through a quality management plan, partner involvement, efficient methodology, tailored training content, and a focus on meeting the needs of VET trainers and the biomass energy industry.
