Computer supported Math teaching
▶Summary
We apply for COMPMATH project in order to satisfy the following needs: • Implementation of STEAM principles into high school in participating organizations, in Serbia and Romania. • Development of STEAM methodology for blended learning, strengthening professional profiles of teachers. • Pilot implementation and later improvements of the developed mathematics topics in order to enhance teachers' professional development. • STEAM methodology encourages collaborative blended learning which is important for XXI century education, during the whole students' education. • Development of multidisciplinary didactically approach of modernized mathematics topics in high school, using STEAM principles (mathematical modelling) enhance motivation for teaching process. • Introducing teachers and students to use developed STEAM principles which will allow them to foster their professional development and in that manner to transfer newly gained knowledge to younger generations. •
▶Objectives
By implementation of COMPMATH project we wonted to achieve: • to expand and modernize teaching and learning methods used in the field of mathematics and mathematics-based sciences within STEAM principles; • to improve professional competencies in the digital neighborhood of new technologies during and after Covid-19; • to promote STEAM skills, through teaching material which can be used during and after Covid-19.
▶Activities
COMPMATH project activities are : 1) Development of COMPMATH-teaching material for blended learning based on dynamic packages for selected topics; 2) Teacher training on developed teaching material; 3) Piloting and development COMPMATH framework for blended learning based on previous developments; Developing of COMPMATH project web page. •Collecting of teaching material and activities before and during Covid-19 crisis in high school; • Developing the proposals for implementing STEAM methodology for blended learning based on digital technology; • Developing teaching and learning materials for mathematics contents in high school in STEAM sense; • Publishing online exemplary lessons.
