Objectives

The project’s long-term goal was to enhance the level of employment by preparing students for the labor market. The idea of introducing an innovative platform into the teaching process is actually enabling students to acquire the necessary skills for the 21.century. Increasing the attractiveness of VET, since it presents the strategic aim of the school, is something we could achieve by simulating the working process of the real companies during the practical training classes. As a result of the project, we created the platform Virtuelco and its instruction manual, which enabled us to help the students improve their digital and professional competence, by managing business documentation for virtual enterprises. By working on the platform, students gain functional knowledge and digital skills.

Activities

The first activity was to design the appearance and functions of the platform Virtuelco, and then writing the instruction manual for working in virtual enterprises. After the testing phase and its successful implementation in our school, we conducted the dissemination in schools of North Macedonia and Serbia, where we created a network of 8 schools which can operate together on the platform.

Impact

The Virtuelco platform, which contains the basic elements for operating of a real company, and also the instruction manual written in two languages are the two distinct results of the project. The platform offers completing the documentation in Serbian and Macedonian, whereas the international business documentation would be completed in English language. Therefore, the instruction manual was printed in both Serbian and Macedonian language, and the electronic version is included in the documentation segment for students to use concurrently while working on the platform.
