Summary

We registered the project because in practice, in contact with schools, students and educators, we noticed the need to address content about safe and healthy use of the Internet. We addressed the needs of students, parents and teachers due to the shift of more and more activities online. At the age of 11-15, most teenagers have smartphones, peers are becoming more important than adults and many are "lost in virtual worlds". Images on social media, video games, pornographic ads... are designed to rapidly release dopamine in large quantities and because of this, a person becomes more and more addicted. During the years when the prefrontal cortex is not fully myelinated (before the age of 21), adolescents are very sensitive to these influences. We discussed the emergence of online risks: inappropriate content, excessive use, online bullying, cyber hatred, disinformation, misuse of personal data, cyber risks... How children (10-18) experienced online risks during the Covid-19 lockdown, according to research - Spring 2020 (https://publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/handle/JRC124034) in eleven European countries, children reported spends 6.5 to 7 hours online per day.

Empower, sensitize and train teachers (by the term teacher we mean primary school teachers, counseling and other pedagogic workers) to have the courage and know how to comprehensively teach students about the safe and healthy use of the Internet. 2. To establish complementary cooperation between teachers and parents in the field of safe and healthy use of the Internet. 3. To encourage educators (by the term educators we mean teachers, parents and other persons who raise children) to they deal with the safe and healthy use of the Internet, not only occasionally, but processually/gradually. 4. To connect experts, organizations from different EU countries and teachers who are trying to do something good for students on in the field of healthy and safe use of the Internet.
