▶Objectives
By implementing the project, we wanted to increase awareness of digital transformation within our membership base as well as outside. Moreover, we wanted to create a simple and comprehensible educational program that would actually enable the target group to quickly navigate through the areas in which the digitalization could increase their business performance and thereby support competitiveness. That is, to provide basic knowledge on the topic available to a wide range of companies operating in the sector and outside of the sector as well as to individuals. For this reason, we have set the goals we wanted to achieve by implementing this project: to raise awareness of digital transformation through the development of digital readiness of companies and VET workplace in the form of an educational program and to disseminate the project results as well.
▶Activities
As part of the project we have implemented four activities: project management and evaluation – the main goal was to ensure problem-free communication, compliance with the project goals and the project schedule, continuous monitoring and evaluation of the project. Preparation of the educational program – creation of the primary project goal/output, i. e. of the educational program in several phases: creation of the basic curriculum and its subsequent verification and annotating by a sample of companies. We took the collected comments into account when creating the educational program. Pilot testing – we verified the practicality of the educational program at trainings in Slovakia and Czech Republic. Dissemination of the project results - spreading awareness of the project, the educational program and digitalization itself within the companies was carried out through various channels, e. g. through ZEP SR and ElA ČR websites, by informing our member companies via email or at personal meetings, in the professional press and through Federation of Slovak Industry and Transport Associations.
▶Impact
The main outputs of the project were: Final version of the educational program (comprised of a document describing Digital transformation of companies, supporting videos and PowerPoint presentation for individual modules of the educational program), Basic outline of the educational program and a Set of information and stimuli from real practice (comments and annotations given by the sample of companies on the educational program outline). In addition, we have created other outputs as part of the project: Activity implementation schedule, Semi-annual and annual reports, Pilot of the educational program, Result presentation at the conferences, Final project events, Publication of the project information in the professional press, Dissemination on the membership base, Final press release. Besides the main project outputs, we have also created a number of supporting project outputs such as Quality and risk management, Partnership agreement and others described in detail within the next sections.
