โ–ถSummary

We applied for this project to address the pressing needs within the field of adult education related to dyscalculia. The lack of specific resources and training for adult educators in identifying and assisting adults with dyscalculia prompted our project. By developing and disseminating high-quality practices, integrating both cognitive and technological tools, we aimed to contribute to the professional development of adult educators and improve the learning outcomes for adults with dyscalculia. Our project sought to fill a critical gap, fostering inclusivity and ensuring that adults facing challenges in mathematical comprehension receive the support they need within the adult education system.

โ–ถObjectives

By implementing our project, we set out to fortify the capabilities of adult educators in recognizing and tackling dyscalculia among adult learners. Through strategically designed activities, including preparatory meetings and the creation of a blended training module, we aimed to equip educators with current insights, cognitive tools, and technological resources. The main objective was to contribute to a more inclusive and effective adult education landscape, where educators are not only aware of the challenges posed by dyscalculia but are also proficient in providing tailored support to adult learners with these needs.

In our project, we implemented the following activities: Preparatory Meeting: DYS TO YES Established shared understanding and goals among partners. Adult's Dyscalculia for Newcomers Provided essential knowledge about dyscalculia to new adult educators. Cogito Ergo "SUM" Explored current research in dyscalculia in adults, fostering knowledge-sharing. DASDYS: Digital Assistance for Adults with Dyscalculia Developed digital applications for assisting adults with dyscalculia. A Cup of Unique Blend Created a comprehensive training module blending cognitive and technological approaches for adult educators.

The concrete outputs and results of our project include: Informed Adult Educators: Dissemination of current research findings on dyscalculia in adults, ensuring adult educators are informed and updated with the latest insights in the field. Cognitive Activities Transfer: Transfer of cognitive activities targeting memory, perception, attention, coordination, and reasoning to adult educators, providing practical tools to assist adults with dyscalculia. Technological Activities Transfer: Transfer of technological activities designed to aid adults with dyscalculia, ensuring adult educators are equipped with innovative solutions for enhanced learning outcomes. Blended Training Module: Creation of a comprehensive training module that blends cognitive and technological approaches. This module serves as a valuable resource for adult educators, offering a holistic framework to address dyscalculia in adult learners. Digital Assistance (DASDYS): Development and implementation of digital applications under the title "DASDYS" to provide digital assistance specifically tailored for adults with dyscalculia. These applications contribute to a technologically enriched learning environment.
