The Purple Chair - Podcast Series

Objectives The Purple Chair podcast project involves Youth Ambassadors, young women who come from FGM-affected communities living in the EU. These, often marginalised, young people lack spaces in Europe to express themselves. The Youth Ambassadors have identified the podcast as a platform to offer them this space. The main objectives of the project are: - strengthening the communication skills of the youth movement to end FGM - diversifying the voices we hear about FGM - raising EU youth’s awareness on FGM Activities The Purple Chair podcast project will aim to amplify and empower youth voices from affected communities against FGM and diversify the kind of youth activists that we see taking the stage in Europe. To do so, the activities will be: - capacity building of young people on how to create youth-friendly media and how to talk about social issues - design and production of the Purple Chair podcast by the youth ambassadors - dissemination of the podcast through all the
