โ–ถObjectives

We wanted to understand more about the dynamics of the labour market and put what we learned into practice. The trainees and the three partner organisations have preferred short-term training for years. We researched and tested the micro-credentials approach in curriculum development. We found it achievable with a small training horizons to learn skills that lead to a specific job. We found interesting differences between the national VET systems of the three countries, we better understood the mechanism of labour market transformation and the link to new skills. The project aimed to equip individuals and organizations with the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to adapt to the evolving job market and succeed in the professions of the future. Familiarize participants with new trends in various sectors of the economy and the skills required for these emerging professions. Develop a tool that enables candidates to look ahead to the future, assess how their chosen profession is evolving, and determine its prospects. Update the curricula offered by training and educational institutions to align with the demands of the evolving job market.

โ–ถActivities

The project involved a series of activities aimed at developing a digital compass for professions and skills, updating curricula, and disseminating project results. The first stage focused on research and surveys were prepared and distributed to companies from selected sectors in three countries. The italian partner created a methodology for this activity and after that each partner formed a team to compile a list of companies in the identified sectors and we developed a questionnaire to gather information on new professions by sector and required skills. The second stage involved the development of the Green Compass platform for new skills in VET (www.greencompass.info). The platform was developed to offer to our main target group and to the wider public the results of our research and data that we collected and to show the professions of the future (www.greencompass.info/en/professions-of-the-future.html). The final stage focused on testing and dissemination of the project's activity and the platform. Dissemination activities were organized in the three countries, and a final partnership meeting was held. The platform provides data on the new professions and the specific skills needed for each. These are based on a joint survey.
