▶Objectives
ESSS project aimed to 1) evaluate and assess the needs of social scientists around Social Economy, 2) develop innovative tools that can support active citizenship in lifelong learning, 3) communicate to the participants the principles of Social Economy and the fulfilment of local needs, 4) transfer to them social and entrepreneurial competences and critical thinking, 5) train them on how to become social entrepreneurs, and finally 6) empower them to enter in the labour market.
▶Activities
Apart from management and dissemination activities, the following activities were implemented: 1) a research to identify participants’ training needs was implemented, 2) training material for participants around social entrepreneurship was created, 3) 'train the trainers' event was organised in order to secure the sustainability of the project outcomes, 4) training to social scientists was delivered, and 5) participants’ skills and knowledge prior and after the training were assessed.
▶Impact
ESSS results include(d): 1) production of training material and training workshops, 2) social scientists were trained into acquiring new skills, knowledge and competences around social entrepreneurship, 3) participants’ own positive attitude and develop innovative ideas were cultivated, 4) participants were aspired to act as social entrepreneurs, 5) participants were enabled to identify career paths in a new field, and 6) participants were helped to integrate into the labour market as entrepreneurs.
