By implementing our project, we want to achieve that each student sees the world in context and at the same time is able to develop their own potential. One of the means is cross-sectional days, when the student combines knowledge from all subjects into one unit. At the same time, international cooperation on cross-cutting days deepens the interaction between schools in Europe and contributes to the removal of social and psychological barriers between students.

All activities listed in the project were implemented and their implementation exceeded expectations in terms of benefits both for the students and teachers, and participating organisations. The project included various types of activities that were covered by the unifying theme of common roots and mutual ties of the participating countries and schools. The activities focused on developing cultural awareness and interest in history (activity Historical research, Letter to the ancestors), other activities aimed at developing professional knowledge and skills (activity Preparation for the 29th International Trade Fair of Practise Enterprises and activity Visit at the 29th Trade Fair of Practise Enterprises), and the most important activities in the form of cross-sectional days aimed to connect language and professional knowledge, while at the same time developing the soft skills of the project participants (activity Cross-sectional days in Krakow, Bratislava, Buje and Prague, and activity Reflexion of the stay in Krakow, Bratislava and Buje).

The project followed two lines and the results can be divided into two areas which are closely related in terms of the project: 1) The first line is the students' way through the two year project which led to the strengthening of their professional knowledge, language and communication skills, to the proficiency in the digital and IT field and at the same time, to the development of their soft skills. The concrete output is a brochure of the results of the historical research in terms of the impact on mutual relationships in Krakow (see the attachment), and a catalogue of students' work introducing individual activities (e.g. presentations, letters to the ancestors, posters proposing new uses for the fortresses around Pula in tourism, interactive map of mutual relations). The outputs also include videos and reports made by students after each cross-sectional activity. 2) The second line is the work of teachers who acted as consultants and mentors and evaluated the methods used on cross-sectional topics and in individual activities. The result is a methodological manual which can be used by teachers at any type of school as as an inspiration for the organization of cross-sectional days and projects.
