Through the project, we aimed to develop students' skills and equip teaching staff with a deeper understanding of key competences related to climate change and environmental protection. Our goal was to raise awareness of global environmental issues, integrate them into the school system, and foster transnational cooperation. We sought to strengthen partnerships with local organizations, provide students with essential green skills, and promote European cooperation on environmental challenges. The project encouraged critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and self-evaluation among students. It also aimed to develop 'Learning to Learn' competences, enhance IT and communication skills, and foster a European identity. By engaging learners of diverse abilities, the project promoted balanced understanding and skill-sharing across Europe. We also aimed to prepare students for future employment, active citizenship, and personal development while addressing environmental issues.

During the project implementation, various activities were conducted to equip participants to tackle environmental challenges. These included workshops, presentations, on-line games and interviews, providing essential knowledge on environmental issues. Surveys and research activities helped deepen understanding. Students’ and teachers’ involvement in creation of native project gardens at partners schools supported practical skills. Students collaborated through eTwinning and during several so called “Project Days” focused on different ecological or European topics. Excursions provided hands-on learning experiences. We organised 4 LTTs focused on environmental issues, collaboratively prepared promotional materials, newsletters, multilingual dictionary, and the 'Book of Environment Stories by our Ancestors' with an aim to raise awareness in partner communities.

We believe that the project successfully equipped participants with: - essential green skills, fostering values and attitudes for a sustainable society. - raised awareness of key and specific environmental issues and the importance of protecting nature - participants gained a deeper understanding of EU values, - project methods and outcomes were shared with organizations at local, national and European level as these organisations can be a potential longer term beneficiars - Environmental issues were more often involved in partners’ school activities and together with shared best practises and project outputs has helped to integrate environmental issues into school curricula
