▶Objectives
The VISKI project aimed to achieve 5 primary objectives: Strengthening the recognition and validation of non-formal learning: VISKIO sought to make skills and competences acquired outside traditional educational settings more visible and formally acknowledged, addressing a gap in valuing such learning. Increasing the employability of learners by visualising their authentic skills: By allowing learners to present their actual abilities through projects on the digital portal, potential employers with a more comprehensive view than conventional qualifications, thereby boosting job prospects. Empowering teachers/trainers to act as mediators and counsellors: The project aimed to support educators in guiding and coaching students through self-directed learning processes, rather than delivering content. Integration of non-formal learning activities in HEIs: The project sought to embed challenge-based learning, where these skills are often gained, more formally within higher education systems through the use of the portal and toolbox. Reduction of skill mismatch: By making applicants' authentic transversal skills visible, the project aimed to help companies, the project aimed to help companies find candidates find better suited candidates

WP1: Project Management work package involves overall coordination, quality assurance, budget control, risk management, and reporting. Specific activities include developing methodological guidelines for quality management and creating internal and external evaluation plans. WP2: VISKI Portal focus on developing the core digital tool: Defining VISKI sets of transversal competences (A2.1). Portal design and development (A2.2). Evaluation and testing (A2.3). Sharing and piloting the portal (A2.4). Integration of the Learning Toolbox (A2.5). WP3: VISKI Learning Toolbox WP develops supporting educational resources: Creating the VISKI Learning Design (A3.1). Developing the VISKI Challenge Catalogue (A3.2). Producing the Teachers' and Learners' Guide (A3.3). Iterative evaluation and testing (A3.4). Sharing and dissemination (A3.5). A transnational meeting (TNM2) in Groningen (A3.6). WP4: Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Activities focus on communication, dissemination, and sustainability: Developing implementation concepts and a stakeholder strategy (A4.1). ▶Impact
The main VISKI results include: R1: The VISKI Portal (VISK.io or VISKIO plattform) (WP2): An online plattform for challenging learners to upload project results with connected skills, designed for transparency and digital presentation. R2: The VISKI Learning Toolbox (WP 3 - published as “VISKIO Starter Kit”): E-Learning materials integrated in R1 and usable as standalone result with tools and microlearning elements. It guides learners and teachers in the VISKI process, promoting digital skills and teacher coaching. It contains of three parts: learning design, challenge catalogue, and guides.
