▶Objectives
The goal was to establish a collaboration among project partners to collectively develop VR school materials using various areas of expertise. By utilizing the individual expertise of the three partner schools, virtual spaces were to be implemented, which are navigable like a three-dimensional encyclopedia for vocational school students. These spaces represent three training-relevant businesses that should be digitized and labeled. The underlying objective was to create vibrant educational materials that particularly favor multi-channel teaching, vivid learning, and interactivity between students and technology.
▶Activities
First, contact was established with three training companies that provided their facilities for photography with 3D cameras. Subsequently, raw image materials of the spaces were created and digitized. Following this, programming skills were conveyed by students to other students in a 'learning by teaching' setting, who then programmed the spaces. Interactive work materials were inserted into the digital workspaces, and objects within them were labeled. Additionally, a website and a program logo were created.
▶Impact
In the VCIVT project, three businesses were digitized, allowing them to be navigated like a VR museum tour. The facilities which were represented in this program were a kindergarten, a car repair shop, and an orthopedical practice. The results of the project can be found on the project's website.
