Objectives

The motivation behind our project was therefore to resolve this contradiction by: - motivating more young Roma to complete vocational training, which they are encouraged to do by appropriately sensitized training staff as part of concrete career guidance measures - preparing more adult Roma for a specific professional activity that is genuinely in demand on the labour market, but also corresponds to their interests, abilities, and skills, and ensures them a regular income - encouraging more entrepreneurs to recognize the potential of employing appropriately trained Roma to overcome their labour and, in the long term, skilled labour shortages and therefore hire them. In the long term, we also hope to contribute to reducing stereotypes and prejudices and promoting the socio-economic inclusion of Roma.

Activities

The project was implemented in five work packages: Work Package 1: Project Management Work Package 2: Professional Orientation for young Roma Work Package 3: Job Preparation Measures for adult Roma Work Package 4: Information and sensitisation of employers Work Package 5: Dissemination and exploitation of project results Information and sensitisation events for teachers, multiplier trainings, and workshops for employers were held to familiarize them with the according project results. In addition, 13 job preparation measures were conducted with a total of 125 adult Roma (test phase).

Guideline for the Professional Orientation of young Roma 2,104 teachers and school social workers were familiarized with the guideline and sensitized to integrate the designed measures for professional orientation of young Roma into everyday education. 3. Online self-assessment tool for Roma to identify suitable professional activities. 4. 16 curricula for implementing job preparation measures with adult Roma for selected professional activities. 5. 11 of the 13 implemented job preparation measures were accredited by the relevant institutions in the partner countries. 6. 24 employees of partner organisations were empowered to implement the training content on 'Recording and Assessment of Skills Before and After the Course,' 'Empowerment,' and 'Entrepreneurship' and to support the employees of the companies where the training courses were conducted in their implementation. 7. 123 adult Roma successfully completed the training courses during the test phase. 8. Manual for Employers 9. 68 representatives of potential employers were familiarized with the manual and sensitised for employing them on this basis. 10.
