▶Objectives
The overall aim is to contribute to a sustainable and effective development of the European society, by supporting social innovation based on the principles of co-creation. In general the project will lead to the following results: 1) Co-define how to work with online and hybrid forms of co-creation. 2) Co-design flexible guidance and training tools. This will develop co-creation competencies with other stakeholders. 3) Co-refine the newly developed guidance and materials in a format that can be sustainably utilised across Europe. This will include the development and finalisation of how to evaluate co-creation projects. Furthermore the following specific results will be reached in the project: a) Create an online and hybrid co-creation curriculum based on Blended learning and Action learning principles. b) Establish a common knowledge base (materials, blogs etc.) on using co-creation in public service sectors c) Develop guidelines for transferring the new knowledge to the daily work. d) Develop a CoCreating evaluation model that can be used to document the impact of CoCreating programmes and projects. With this project, we want to increase the flexibility of the opportunities and the attractiveness of VET courses.
▶Activities
First of all, we have analysed the previous teaching concept in order to improve it and make it more flexible. In our understanding, the principles of blended learning are very well suited to making a teaching material more flexible. In addition, we have endeavoured to build the concept around action learning so that it could be applied directly in the participants' daily lives. Furthermore, we have included more general aspects of a strategic nature and incorporated some evaluation measures specifically aimed at co-creation programmes. The customised course has been tested 11 times in total in the 5 partner countries, and the lessons learned have been incorporated into the final training course. In addition to the focus on the training programme, the partners have also worked on in-depth evaluation processes in Co-creation projects. The evaluation of Co-creation consists of more elements than usual project evaluation. In particular, stakeholder involvement in the organisation is different to traditional projects. Finally, there has also been involvement of the more strategic approaches, so that employees have been prepared to participate in dialogues about overall strategy.
▶Impact
The partnership has developed a highly flexible teaching material that supports competence development in relation to the participants' ability to implement Co-creation projects. The teaching material is structured so that it is possible to choose the topics that are most relevant to the individual participant or the individual training programme. It has been important for the partners to develop the course participants' competences to work on a strategic level and also to be able to develop co-creative evaluation processes. The developed training material has been tested multiple times across the partners, where it has been fine-tuned in between an individual partners’s internal delivery and from learning from the other partners’ experiences. The lessons learnt were recorded and used in the next tests and final curriculum development for the website. Furthermore, the project examined the literature and attendee’s views on the evaluation of the Co-creation processes. This led to the development of guidance for applying co-evaluation in co-creation projects.
