Objectives

Enhance Digital Literacy: Equip adult learners with essential digital competencies, enabling them to navigate and utilize digital tools effectively in both personal and professional contexts. This would improve their employability and ability to participate fully in the digital economy. Empower Educators: Provide educators with advanced training in digital teaching tools and methodologies. This would enable them to integrate technology into their teaching practices more effectively, leading to improved educational outcomes for adult learners. Foster Collaboration: Strengthen collaboration between educational institutions and the digital industry. By doing so, we aimed to ensure that the training provided was relevant and up-to-date with industry standards, thereby maximizing its impact. Promote Lifelong Learning: Encourage a culture of continuous learning among adult learners and educators by developing a sustainable model for digital skills training that could be adopted and adapted by educational institutions across Europe.

Activities

All the activities were implemented in the project. Development of Training Modules: Created a comprehensive "Skills-Up Training Toolbox" that included modules on digital language tools, gender-inclusive language, and digital networking. Each module was designed to be user-friendly and accessible, with interactive elements such as quizzes, case studies, and practical exercises. Resource Compilation: Curated a set of resources, including guides, tutorials, and best practices, to support both trainers and participants in effectively utilizing digital tools. The toolbox was made available in multiple languages to ensure wide accessibility. Online "Train-The-Trainers" Trainer Preparation: Conducted an online "Train-The-Trainers" program to equip educators with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver the "Digital Skills Up" training effectively. You-Yes! Platform was used for the trainings and to recopilate all the information and to ensure the widespread impact of the "Digital Skills Up" project, various dissemination activities were conducted. These included organizing workshops, seminars, and presentations to share the project's outcomes with a broader audience, including educators, policymakers, and other stakeholders.

Impact

The "Digital Skills Up" project produced several outputs. The "Skills-Up Training Toolbox"* was developed, offering user-friendly modules on digital language tools, gender-inclusive language, and digital networking. An "Online "Train-The-Trainers" Program" equipped educators with the skills to deliver these modules effectively. The "You-Yes Platform" served as the hub for all training activities, facilitating access to resources, enabling communication, and supporting data-driven improvements. Dissemination Events: included both online and in-person conferences, leading to 10 agreements with public and private institutions to continue using the project's materials and platform, ensuring the project’s sustainability and broader impact.
