▶Objectives
-Increased awareness about obesity and side effects among the target group. -Increased participants' awareness of the principles of a healthy diet -Increased awareness of the physical and mental benefits of physical activity -Promotion of awareness about environmental pollution -Being familiarised with the variety of solutions used in partner countries and decide on common and best ideas. -The participants ' acquisition of an intergenerational/intercultural education. -Transfer of traditional food culture to the next generations for cultural sustainability -Improvement key competencies of participants, such as literacy, multilingualism, digital and cultural knowledge and expression, etc., to ensure the employability of the target group. - Decrease in the rate of fast food consumption, time spent online and increase the rate of physical activity among the target group.
▶Activities
1. Nutrition workshops: We organized workshops in which nutrition experts taught students the importance of a balanced diet. 2. Healthy cooking classes: Practical cooking classes were held where students prepared healthy recipes from different countries. 3. Physical Activity Programs: We develop a weekly program of physical activities that include sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, yoga and hiking. 4. Talks on Mental Wellbeing: Topics such as the importance of sleep, relaxation techniques and strategies to maintain a healthy mind were discussed. 5. Excursions and outdoor activities: Excursions and outdoor activities were organized, such as nature walks, bike rides and adventure activities. 6. Hygiene and personal health workshops: We hold workshops on the importance of personal hygiene and disease prevention. 7. Awareness campaigns: We launch awareness campaigns within the school to promote healthy lifestyle habits. 8. Gardening and school gardens During the mobility to N. Macedonia the target group planted seeds and herbs in the gardens of the school.
▶Impact
Improvement of knowledge and skills: Students acquired solid knowledge about nutrition, physical activity, personal hygiene and mental well-being. Changes in behaviors: Positive changes in health-related behaviors were observed among students. This could include greater adoption of a balanced diet, regular physical exercise, proper care of personal hygiene and increased awareness of mental wellbeing. Impact on the school community: The project generated a significant impact on the school community, including students, teachers, administrative staff and families. International collaboration and cooperation: The project facilitated collaboration and cooperation between educational institutions from different participating countries. Long-lasting links were established that allowed the continuous exchange of good practices. Long term impact: The positive effects of the project are expected to last in the long term. This could translate into reduced risks of chronic diseases and an overall improvement in quality of life.
