▶Objectives
The objectives of the project were: Motivate learning, develop digital competencies, and improve academic outcomes of music students aged 8 to 12, enhancing inclusion in elementary music education. Train music teachers in the effective integration of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) into teaching-learning methodologies, strengthening their teaching profile to enhance the educational response provided to students studying elementary music education. Create high-quality materials and tools for the use of ICT and their integration into elementary music education, facilitating the transition to digital environments. The project objectives were directly linked to the selected priorities: addressing digital transformation, supporting teachers, and promoting inclusion and diversity. The project aimed to innovate education through digital methodologies, developing resources for teaching musical language and instruments.
▶Activities
The implemented activities were as follows: M1 - Initial Meeting: Project analysis, budget management, task distribution, establishment of committees and workgroups, scheduling, and communication tools setup. A1 - Material Selection and Development: Needs mapping, creation of ICT toolkit, development of specific materials with participation from committee members and faculty. A2 - Teacher Training: In-person and virtual sessions to enhance digital competencies and inclusive methodologies. A3 - Student Implementation: Virtual activities, thematic workshops, and concerts to improve digital and musical competencies. M2 - Midterm Transnational Meeting: Pilot monitoring, activity readjustments, milestone review, and preparation for future activities. A4 - Evaluation and Impact: Surveys, success indicators, and diagnostic tests to assess progress and effectiveness. A5 - Dissemination: Visual identity activities, social media engagement, informational meetings, and events to increase project visibility. M3 - Final Meeting: Activity presentation, results evaluation, final report preparation, sustainability strategic plan, and agreement signing.
▶Impact
The achieved results were as follows: Selection and creation of digital materials and tools for teaching and learning music, from a transdisciplinary perspective. Development of a best practices guide for the use of ICT: DigiMusi Toolkit, promoting digital transformation and music learning. Enhancement of teaching competence, digital skills, and multilingualism of over 180 teachers by providing them with resources, strategies, and tools for the proper use of ICT and the materials developed through 5 training activities via the DigiMusi Virtual Academy. Implementation of the developed material in a 6-month pilot program with students aged 8 to 12, followed by evaluation. Development of digital, intercultural, and specific competencies, as well as improvement in performance and academic results of 180 students through their participation in implementation activities.
