Senior citizens improved their level of knowledge of new technologies, which made them citizens with greater autonomy in 21st century Europe. The production of videos that can be accessed through a QR code contributes to placing Rural Europe on the map, achieving a call effect on tourists, which is what this novel initiative achieved, while also attracting the inhabitants of these areas, attracted by the curiosity of seeing how their neighbours explain their own tourist resources. The heritage, culture and history of places at risk of depopulation have been promoted. Our rich and unknown heritage is valued by EU citizens. This allowed us to participate in the digital transformation of the tourism sector with the creation of a methodological guide, which is vital for the revitalization of these areas.
