Objectives

DigiFreeLancer's main objective was to strengthen the freelance segment by creating a virtual incubator that serves as a reference for training and business development, with a focus on improving their digital and entrepreneurial skills. This project aimed to provide freelancers with the necessary tools to manage their businesses efficiently, reducing their “mortality” rate and improving their working conditions. The specific objectives of the project have been: - Reduce the “mortality” rate of freelancers, promoting stability in self-employment and reducing dependence on income support policies. - Improve income opportunities for freelancers through training in entrepreneurial and digital skills. - Encourage new ventures in the digital age by helping freelancers adapt to technological changes and the changing labor market. - Combat the shadow economy, favoring more stable and well-paid jobs instead of undeclared work. - Promote a work-life balance by supporting freelance work.

Activities

1. Results development activities. All partners participated in the development of project deliverables: - Research on the freelance economy in Europe, identifying challenges and opportunities in the sector, as well as emerging trends. - Development of the digital handbook for the incubator model for freelancers, with the objective of promoting the development of their digital competencies and skills. - Design and implementation of a digital platform that facilitates the business management of freelancers. 2. Activities within project management and implementation: These activities included daily management, online follow-up meetings, budget control, preparation of reports and constant communication between partners. FYG prepared the Management Plan, describing project procedures and guidelines, and periodic quality assessments were carried out. In addition, several transnational meetings and trainings were held (BE, PL, GR, IT and ES). 3. Dissemination and promotion activities: During the 24 months of the project, the partners carried out various dissemination activities, reaching more than 110,000 people through social networks, presentations at events and information material.

Impact

The results of the DigiFreeLancer project are: 1. Research on the freelance world in Europe: A report providing an accurate and updated overview of the freelance economy in Europe, based on the collection of data through a survey conducted in all countries of the consortium. The statistical analysis of the data collected has identified key trends, challenges and opportunities for freelancers. 2. The Freelance Incubator Model Implementation Handbook: A detailed handbook for the creation of freelance incubator models, including the most effective business skills that support a sustainable freelance economy. The handbook includes a collection of 7 incubator models, along with 14 best practices, providing clear guidance for implementing and increasing the success of freelance incubators in Europe. 3. Implementation of a digital incubator for freelancers: A digital platform that represents the freelance incubator model. This platform serves as an example of the services that can be activated within a freelancer incubator, including networking events, consultancy and specific training.
