Summary

Objectives The project aims to develop the knowledge of young people on digital rights. In addition, the project intends to disseminate information on the safe use of digital technologies. This will be achieved through four objectives focussing on social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities, raising awareness for challenges of youth concerning digital rights and online safety, and improving digital competences of young people through the development of educational tools. Activities The project will comprise of desk research, including a survey, about the challenges youth experience surrounding digital rights and online safety. This will lead to the creation of learning materials that will be reviewed by focus groups. A 4 -day International Capacity Building Seminar for young people will be organised to train people to become multipliers and work on safety online with the use of the tools created in the phase before. A final conference will be the end of the project. Impact The results of the project will be concrete outputs of a report on the state of play of the knowledge and challenges of young people. Secondly, there will be an inclusive designed website with learning materials on safety online and digital rights in 5 languages (Spanish, English, French, Estonian and Dutch). Moreover, by working on the topics and organising events, we expect an increased awareness of the online safety and digital rights (or the lack thereof) among young people Link to project card: Show project card * Results are available for this project.
