Objectives

The G-STEAM project aimed to promote interest and excellence in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) by embedding sustainability and green skills into education across partner regions. Our objectives were to develop and pilot innovative, interdisciplinary STEAM practices in schools, strengthen teacher competences through targeted training modules, and establish local Green STEAM ecosystems that connect schools, universities, municipalities, and businesses. By fostering collaboration and sharing best practices, we sought to make future-oriented, sustainability-based STEAM a permanent part of the educational landscape, ensuring relevance to local needs and supporting students’ critical thinking, creativity, and environmental responsibility. Ultimately, the project aspired to empower both educators and learners to address real-world challenges and contribute to a more sustainable society.
