In setting up this project, we wanted that students, their families, teachers and the educational community : - get a clearer, better-documented picture of the issues surrounding climate change - learn how to apply a scientific approach to an issue - learn to work in a group - take action in their local environment - discover or improve their knowledge of the world of research, local institutions and associations and their role in these questions and issues - improve their speaking skills, their level of English and their ability to use digital tools - open up their international perspectives and experience the benefits of cooperation between teams from different countries Our aim was to give all the pupils, even those from modest families, a chance to develop an ecological awareness and broaden their future prospects in the world of science, institutions and associations, but also to broaden their international prospects by improving their command of English and technological tools as a means of cooperating in international teams.

Three types of activities were carried out throughout the project. During the weekly workshops, the pupils were accompanied in the study of scientific documents; they took part in scientific workshops, conferences and meetings with researchers, institutions and associations involved in preserving the environment and combating global warming; they prepared action plans and their practical implementation: nature clean-ups, planting, exchange or collection days.... They prepared and implemented communication plans: exhibitions, videos, organisation of and participation in media events: meetings, stands, etc. During the international meetings, the students took part in international teams in serious games on climate change: escape game, climate fresco, simulation of decision-making institutions, and visited key sites. They pooled their ideas and prepared joint oral presentations on the project themes. They shared their lifestyles and forged friendships. Meetings between teachers enabled them to exchange best practice and monitor the organisation of the project.

The concrete achievements of this project are: - conferences, meetings and visits organised in the different schools with researchers, institutions and associations involved in the fight against global warming. - joint work, meetings and activities organised between participants from the 3 schools involved in the project. - proposed actions and teaching, communication and evaluation tools developed as part of the project. - strengthen links between the schools, the world of research, local institutions and associations. - students more aware of ecological issues, and who acquired a number of skills that they can apply in their daily lives. - improved students skills in the scientific research process: verification of source documents, cross-referencing of information, etc. - The progress made by project participants (students and teachers) in target skills: English, teamwork, use of digital tools, etc. - International openness and strengthening of participants' sense of Europe - The communication of these acquired skills to the local and wider environment
