Objectives

The main objective of our project was to enhance the digitalisation of VET schools by improving teachers' digital skills and promoting active learning methodologies through ICT. We aimed to equip educators with the necessary competencies to create engaging, interactive digital content, making learning more attractive and effective for students. Through this project, we sought to increase teachers' understanding of digital tools, enhance their content creation abilities, and develop an e-learning platform dedicated to digitalisation in VET. Additionally, we aimed to produce digital lessons, guidelines for content creation across subjects, and encourage the integration of digital tools to support internationalisation. Ultimately, our goal was to foster more dynamic and inclusive learning environments, ensuring that VET education remains relevant, accessible, and engaging for students in an increasingly digital world.

Activities

The project was structured around key activities to develop digital competences among VET teachers and create engaging digital content. First, an E-Learning platform was developed to train teachers in digital methodologies and ICT tools. A training phase allowed educators to familiarize themselves with digital content creation techniques. Following this, teachers applied their learning in content creation and testing activities, developing new digital lessons and implementing them in classrooms. To ensure sustainability, subject-based guidelines were produced, summarizing best practices for digitalisation in VET subjects. The project also involved dissemination efforts, including events and an online platform, to maximize impact and encourage adoption of digital tools in additional VET institutions.

Impact

The project produced several concrete results aimed at strengthening the digitalisation of vocational education and training (VET). An initial analysis of current teaching practices across Europe identified key challenges as well as existing good practices. Based on this, an e-learning platform was developed, comprising 8 modules designed to train teachers in creating digital content and integrating ICT tools into their pedagogy. Teachers then participated in activities involving the creation and testing of digital learning activities, resulting in the implementation of new digital lessons piloted in the classroom. To ensure project sustainability, a good practices guide organized by subject was developed. This guide provides practical instructions on applying digital methods according to different disciplines and includes the digital lessons created. It is available on the Di-Struct! platform. Finally, dissemination activities expanded the project’s impact by encouraging the adoption of digital tools in other VET institutions.
