▶Objectives
Main objectives of the project were: create smart home models for teaching/training purposes, develop VET programmes on smart home technology and produce teaching materials to be used along with the smart home models in the newly created programmes. We created: Five smart home models, toolkit in several languages for creating smart home models and vide content, Guidelines on instruction methods; Short programmme with 30 ECTS on smart home technologies developed and accredited; Smart Home Club programme developed and delivered; Innovated existing courses with new smart home content; and A variety of VET resources on smart home technologies (teacher’s book, student reader, glossary, video and animated short film), Smart Home VET Net formed by the partnership through webinars for VET professionals outside the partnership and Smart Home Open Days. Objectives correspond to the selected priorities Environment and fight against climate change and Contributing to innovation in vocational education and training via the results attained and their content. Technology is new which offers innovation to VET, and more importantly, directly contributes to lower energy consumption which reduces carbon emission and energy poverty.

▶Impact
Results of the project are: Five smart home models developed within the partnership, toolkit in several languages for creating smart home models, video and nimation content, which guides those intending to develop such a model in VET organisations outside the partnership. Guidelines on instruction methods; Short programmme with 30 ECTS on smart home technologies developed and accredited; Smart Home Club programme developed; Smart Home Club programme delivered; and Existing courses innovated with new smart home content. Preparatory workshop for VET teachers and trainers on the project; and A variety of VET resources on smart home technologies (teacher’s book, student reader, glossary, video and animated short film). The project website as a display of all activities and results achieved; Newsletter; and The Smart Home VET Net were created and expanded on the basis of webinars for VET professionals outside the partnership and and Smart Home Open Days.
